Taguig City government to start vaccinating minors without comorbidities on Nov. 2
The Taguig City government announced that it will start vaccinating the rest of minors aged 12 to 17 years old starting on Nov. 2.
Based on the Taguig City Vaccination Task Force Advisory No. 45, “Taguig City will commence the COVID-19 vaccination rollout for the rest of pediatric population (those without comorbidity), or Taguig residents and those studying in Taguig, aged 12 to 17 years old, in the following mega vaccination hubs: Lakeshore Hall Bonifacio High Street,” according to TRACE Taguig.

Medical Center Taguig will serve as the exclusive venue for the vaccination of minors with comorbidities in Taguig.
The vaccination of minors with comorbidities started in Taguig on Oct. 25 at St. Luke’s Medical Center-Global City while Medical Center Taguig followed on Oct. 26. Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines were approved by the Philippines' Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in people 12 years old and above.
The Taguig City Vaccination Task Force adopted the Department of Health’s Circular 2021-0494 pertaining to the vaccination of minors, classified as Pediatric A3 group.
According to the task force, the comorbidities allowed for the vaccination of Pediatric A3 are: medical complexity, genetic conditions, neurologic conditions, metabolic/endocrine diseases, cardiovascular diseases, obesity, HIV infections, tuberculosis, chronic respiratory diseases, renal disorder, hepatobiliary diseases and immunocompromised state due to disease or treatment.
The requirements for vaccination of minors with comorbidities in Taguig are:
1. TRACE registration and QR Code
2. Proof of identity – a valid ID, or any other government issued ID of the:
a. Minor child – showing the age
b. Parent/guardian
3. Medical Certificate based on the format of DOH provided in the link: https://bit.ly/MedicalCertificationforPediatricA3
4. Proof of Filiation – minors are required to be accompanied by their parents/guardians during their vaccination day.
- Birth Certificate (from the Philippine Statistics Authority or the Local Civil Registrar. If the birth certificate is unavailable the following is accepted:
- Baptismal Certificate
- School ID or any school record bearing the name of the child and their parent/guardian
- Barangay Certification stating that the parent/guardian and the child is personally known to the Barangay Chairperson
- Philhealth, SSS, GSIS forms with the name of the parent/guardian and the child
- Notarized Special Power of Attorney
- Affidavit of Guardianship or Court Decree of Guardianship
- Any other public document bearing the name of the child and the parent/guardian
The task force said vaccination sites in Taguig will not entertain walk-in vaccination for minors and that all minors aged 12 to 17 years old are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian on vaccination day.
