The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has finalized the contract with company F2 Logistics for the transport of election paraphernalia for the May 2022 national and local elections.
The contract was signed on Oct. 29 with the deal worth P535,999,998, as shown in the contract's copy posted on the official website of the Comelec.
It was on Aug. 25 that the Comelec announced that it approved the awarding of transport services contract to F2 Logistics for next year’s general elections.
"Now, therefore, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises and the mutual covenants hereinafter set forth, the Parties herein agree as follows," the contract read.
The deployment of election paraphernalia in Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon is worth P106 million, while P123 million has been earmarked for the deployment of election supplies in Metro Manila, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon), Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan), and Bicol Region.
The budget in Western Visayas, Central Visayas, and Eastern Visayas totals P120,999,999. Moreover, the deployment of election supplies in Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Caraga, and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) is at P185,999,999.
Based on the contract, F2 Logistics "shall be responsible for the delivery" and bring back the vote counting machines (VCM) and peripherals, for roadshow, field tests, mock elections, training, final testing and sealing, and election purposes; consolidation/canvassing system (CCS) machines and peripherals; transmission equipment/device and peripherals; VCM external batteries and accessories; generator sets (gensets), optional; and other election equipment and paraphernalia.
The F2 Logistics will also deploy the official ballots; ballot boxes; other accountable forms and supplies; non-accountable forms and supplies; training materials provided by Comelec; Election Day Computerized Voters' Lists; Posted Computerized Voters' Lists; Computerized Voters' List Supplies; and other election paraphernalia.
