With Facebook, Inc. now Meta, it looks like other brands are following suit—well, sort of

That's meta, bruh
In an effort to pursue its “metaverse” and, well, divert away from the company’s current scandals and crises, mega-tech company Facebook, Inc. baptized itself with a new name: “Meta.”
“We’ve learned a lot from struggling with social issues and living under closed platforms, and now it is time to take everything that we've learned and help build the next chapter,” CEO Mark Zuckerberg said during an annual developers conference. “I am proud to announce that starting today, our company is now Meta. Our mission remains the same, still about bringing people together, our apps and their brands, they’re not changing.”
As Mark said, only the parent company will be changing its name. While the social media platforms under its belt, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, will remain untouched. So, no need to say, “follow me on Meta” or “add me up on Meta.”
And, of course, with Facebook, Inc. being an influential figure in many industries, many Filipino brands followed its rebranding move... sort of. Check out some of local labels’ hilarious takes, proving that when it comes to rebranding, Filipinos are masters in merging puns with business,
