Students from San Beda University (SBU) aired their support for Vice President and presidential aspirant Leni Robredo.
In a statement, Bedans for Leni affirmed that Robredo "is the best candidate for the Presidency as mirrored by her leadership and track record."
"Her values and her strong resolve to champion what is right reflects the values that we adhere as one Bedans Community: humility, stewardship, and call to serve for the common good," the statement read.
"Her example reflects our institution's belief to cultivate transformative leadership and champion good governance as our way of life. We know that her fight is not hers alone -- rather it is a fight that we have to share for the common good."
Bedans for Leni also called on their fellow students and alumni to "stand on her call to fight for the injustices surrounding all of us" and "be the voice of those who are afraid to speak."
"Elections in the Philippines has changed its course from a traditional standpoint to a more digitally-inclined social media-wise of campaigns. Disinformation and misinformation become the hardest suit of those who want to diminish what happened in our past," the group stressed.
"As members of the Bedan Community, it is our unwritten responsibility to carry the cudgels of true and honest governance: justice based on truth, service with humility, and leadership with utmost accountability."
Students from the Ateneo de Manila University, Polytechnic University, Far Eastern University, and the University of Nueva Caceres likewise expressed their support for Robredo's presidential bid for the May 2022 elections.
Meanwhile, the Adamson University and Universidad de Sta. Isabel illuminated their buildings in pink in a show of support for Robredo’s bid for the presidency.
