PDEA's high-value target in Antique nabbed

Anti-narcotics operatives have arrested an alleged top illegal drugs peddler of Antique in a buy-bust in Patnongon town.

In a Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) statement, the suspect identified as Ferdie Napat, a bus company personnel was collared at 6: 40 p.m. in Purok 6, Barangay Magsaysay in a joint PDEA and police operation dubbed as “Oplan Kawa’’.

Seized from him was P68,000 worth of shabu.

Napat is now facing a case of violation of Sections 5 and 11 Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002’’.

The operation was carried out by the PDEA-Antique Provincial Office, Antique Provincial Police Office and Patnongon Municipal Police Station Special Drug Enforcement Team (SDET). (Chito A. Chavez)
