Saso slips to joint 16th; Pagdanganan, Ardina make cut in ShopRite LPGA

Yuka Saso slipped to joint 16th while Bianca Pagdanganan and Dottie Ardina made the cut after two rounds in the ShopRite LPGA in Galloway, New Jersey Saturday (Sunday in Manila).

Saso carded an eagle-aided 1-under-par 70 to add to her opening round 67 for a 137 two-round aggregate, six strokes behind Korean co-leaders Inbee Park and Jin Young Ko.

The US Women’s Open Champion stumbled with a double-bogey on par-4 No. 12, but made up with an eagle three on the 18th.

She finished with four birdies against three bogeys and tied with four others at 16th place.

Meanwhile, Pagdanganan found herself in a crowded 32nd spot she shared with 12 others after shooting a 70 for a 139 total.

The Tokyo Olympian hit four birdies and had three bogeys at the front nine.

Ardina, for her part, is at joint 62nd with a similar 70 for a 141 total.

She had a birdie on No. 3 against two bogeys before hitting an eagle on par-5 18th.

World No. 2 Ko, meanwhile, cruised with a bogey-free round by firing a 65 highlighted by five birdies on the front nine.

Park scored a similar 65 on seven birdies against a lone bogey on the par-4 eighth hole.
