Partylist aspirant seeks to serve as 'genuine' representative of PUV drivers
The Manibela Partylist has filed its certificate of candidacy (COC) and certificate of nomination and acceptance (CONA) for the May 2022 elections on Sunday, Oct. 3, as it seeks to serve as the "genuine" representative of public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers.

"Ramdam ko ang bawat hirap at hinagpis na dinaranas ng bawat isa sa atin. Ang iba tuluyan nang nawalan ng hanapbuhay at ang iba, buhay na ang nawala (I feel every hardship that each of us is going through. Some have completely lost their jobs and for others, their lives)," Mario Valbuena, first nominee of Manibela said.
Valbuena also hit DUMPER Partylist Rep. Claudine Bautista "for claiming to represent the transportation sector in Congress."
"Never po namin naramdaman yung pag-represent nya sa ating transportasyon. Simula nung naupo, hindi naman po natin nakita sa ating mga kasamahan na nag-reach out (We never felt that she represented the transportation sector. Since she won a seat in Congress, we haven't seen her reaching out to our colleagues)," Valbuena said.
He earlier slammed Bautista for holding a "lavish" wedding amid the COVID-19 pandemic and instead of addressing the plight of the PUV drivers.

Valbuena also gave the Department of Transportation and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory board a "failing mark" for failing to address the needs of PUV drivers.
