'Marcos' files COC for presidency but wait...

COC Filing (Tiburcio Marcos)

An aspiring president with a surname familiar to the Philippine politics filed his certificate of candidacy on Sunday, Oct.3.

A certain Tiburcio Marcos is seeking the approval of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to run for the presidency in next year's general elections.

Marcos, through his representative, was the first to file a COC for president--- at exactly 11:03 a.m.---during the third day of the COC filing.

He's the 8th aspirant for the country's top post.

Meanwhile, another aspiring senator, also with a familiar surname in local politics, filed her COC on Sunday.

Luz "Lala Ganda" Aquino, an independent candidate, submitted her COC to the poll body also through a representative.

Aquino was the 22nd senatorial aspirant to file her COC.
