A security guard who allegedly yielded P3.4 million worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) has been arrested in a buy-bust operation in Valenzuela City recently, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) reported Friday, Oct. 29.
The PDEA Regional Office – National Capital Region (RO-NCR) identified the suspect as Jamael Gumbay, 33, of Taguig City. He was collared on Oct. 27 during a joint PDEA and police operation along McArthur Highway in Barangay Dalandanan.
PDEA RO-NCR Director Christian Frivaldo said that 500 grams of shabu, identification card (ID), analog phone, and buy-bust money were confiscated from Gumbay during the anti-drug sting.
Gumbay faces charges for violation of Republic Act (RA 9165) or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’
The operation was carried out by the operatives of the PDEA RO-NCR Northern District Office (NDO) in coordination with the PDEA Manila District Office (MDO) and Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Valenzuela City Police Station (CPS).
