The "brewing rivalry" among the world's superpowers has President Duterte worried even as he underscored key efforts that are needed to attain full recovery from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

He also thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin  for the assistance extended by his country to the Philippines during the health crisis. All these during the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) twin summits, as well as the East Asia Summit.

Meanwhile, 25 children had adverse reactions to COVID-19 vaccination, but this report should not be a cause of alarm for the public as these were promptly managed, according to Health Undersecretary Rosario Vergeire.

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has also implemented a stricter policy when renewing drivers’ licenses, but has also rewarded those with unblemished records with 10-year extension of their licenses.
