FAMOUS: Keiko Necesario to release all-Tagalog album

Keiko Necesario is an artist in the form of a folk singer/song-writer and a painter. From her songs in the four walls of her bedroom to performing them live in gigs, award shows, concerts, and literally anywhere; she has grown falling more and more in love with her purpose.

“In our fallen world, there will always be unpleasant things in our lives and so as an artist, it’s really a responsibility for me to write about what is honest and true,'' she said.

In 2012, she had the privilege to be part of one of the biggest songwriting competition in the country as one of the 14 pioneers of the first Philippine popular Music Festival (PHILPOP) which was spearheaded by Maestro Ryan Cayabyab in TV 5 where her original.

“I think songwriters have always been filling up a very important role in people’s lives, whether it’s in the middle of a global crisis or in the middle of a personal struggle or just our own stories in general. Being one of the songwriters and even as a listener as well, being in both end of the spectrum, I’ve always believed in the power of just making people feel understood,” she added.

With her upcoming single “Gabi”, the artist describe the inspiration behind the song

“Gabi” was a song inspired by my Batanes trip, I remember wanting to capture that feeling of calm and excitement and nerves happening all at once because those were the emotions I felt just being there," she said.

“Gabi” is the first track of her new EP Obra which will feature all-Tagalog tracks to be released soon.

At the height of the Marawi Siege, the song "Lukso ng Dugo" was created by several artists collaborating together.

Written by Epy Quizon with a special part written by Gloc 9 and arranged by Karel Honasan, Ira Cruz, Yosha Honasan, Micheal Alba and Nikko Rivera and produced by Arnold Buena of Hit Productions. The song has been participated by the talents of more than 30 OPM artists and celebrities that truly believes our mission and vision.

The launch of the music video started with a 10-day countdown last Oct. 6 until it was released on YouTube on Oct. 16. It will also be released on different social media networks such as our MagkaisaPH Facebook page and Instagram the following day. All funds generated by the song will transparently be donated to The Dolphy Aid Para Sa Pinoy Foundation as a donation from the Artist to fund educational projects starting in the Conflict Areas of Mindanao.

“LUKSO ng DUGO” artists include : Gary Valenciano; Eric Santos; Rivermaya; Gloc 9; Kyla; Symphony of Angels; Jett Pangan; Champ Vince De Jesus; Ebe Dancel among others.

TV5’s videoke game show, "Sing Galing", once again records the highest peak of rating ever since the program started airing. It reached 4.3 percent ratings and is expected to go higher in the coming months.

Recently, Sing Galing celebrated the monthsary of its newest edition, "Sing-lebrity Edition" where celebrities are invited to the "Sing Galing" stage not only to share their wit but their inspiring story as well.

The show was also recognized in the recently concluded Asian Academy Creative Awards 2021 as the National Winner for Best Non-Scripted Entertainment.

“Sing Galing", airing every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, airing after Frontline Pilipinas and Sing-lebrity Edition, every Saturday 6 p.m. on TV5.
