Netizens chide Dennis Padilla for sharing Ivana Alawi's quote on parent-kid relationship

Some online users didn't like it that veteran actor Dennis Padilla is seemingly insinuating that all is still not well between him and his kids.

This, after he reposted the now viral quote of social media darling Ivana Alawi.

It read: "Advice ko sa inyo, dapat habang buhay ang parents n'yo o may kaaway kayo, wag n'yo nang hintayin na mawala 'yung tao. Just always forgive and love that person and give time. - Payo ni Ivana sa lahat matapos niyang alalahanin ang yumaong ama."

According to Dennis, it's "great advice."

Netizens believe otherwise, with some noting how it would affect his children with Marjorie Barretto.

Some of the comments:

Note that a few months ago, the comedian expressed his longing to reunite with his children.

Then he shared a throwback photo of his daughters from former wife Marjorie Barretto, Julia and Claudia, during their younger days.

Recall that early this year, Dennis and his kids were among hot topics after some netizens noticed that Julia’s vlog featuring her father is no longer available on her YouTube Channel.

Online users assumed it has something to do with Dennis' statement, where he opened up about Julia’s romance with the 32-year-old hunk actor.

In an interview with entertainment manager-actor Ogie Diaz, Dennis shared that he actually confronted Gerald when Julia was being tagged as the third party in Gerald’s controversial breakup with Bea Alonzo.
