QC gov't announces anti-rabies vaccination schedule

The Quezon City Veterinary Department (QCVD) on Monday, Oct. 25, announced the schedule of anti-rabies vaccination for cats and dogs in the city.

Owners can bring their pets to their respective barangays from Oct. 25 to 29, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The QCVD said that only healthy pets that are not taking medications, not pregnant, and at least three months old will be vaccinated.

It added that pet owners should be 18 years old and above and fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be allowed to enter the sites.

Here is the schedule for the anti-rabies vaccinations:

Oct. 25 - Brgy. Marilag headquarters, General Avenue in Tandang Sora

Oct. 26 - Brgy. Kaligayahan Activity Centre, Champaca Street in Baranggay Pasong Putik

Oct.27 - Brgy. San Bartolome (Rockville 1) , Brgy. Culiat(Salam Court), Brgy. Holy Spirit (Nawasa Line), Brgy Apolonio Samson covered court, UP Campus (Pook Arboretum Block 3 Chapel)

Oct. 28 - Brgy. Tandang Sora, Doña Aurora court, Brgy. East Kamias, Brgy. Pansol

Oct. 29- Brgy. Bagong Silangan, UP Campus/C.P Garcia and Balagtas Area 2 court

The CVD said that they are allowed up to 30 percent of capacity and pet owners should maintain health and safety protocols.

It added that anti-rabies vaccinations are available in the QC Main Hall, from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
