The University of the Philippines (UP) on Monday, Oct. 25, opened applications for first-year students for the academic year (AY) 2022-2023.
"The University of the Philippines College Application 2022 (UPCA2022) is now open," UP said in a Facebook post.
Applicants are advised to visit upcollegeadmissions.up.edu.ph to access the application portal.
UP also reminded the applicants to read the general information bulletin before filing their application.
The deadline for submission of all application documents is on Nov. 30, 2021.
"Due to the dynamic developments in the public health situation in the light of Covid-19, there is no final decision yet as to whether an admission test will be administered for intake year 2022-2023," UP said on its website.
It added that performance in the admission test and high school grades are the main components in obtaining the UP admission grade (UPG).
"In the absence of a college admission test, a composite of the final grades in Grades 8, 9, 10, and 11 shall be the basis to determine the UPG," UP pointed out.
Likewise, specific degree programs may request additional requirements to qualify for admission if deemed necessary.
To implement the policy of democratic access, UP also pointed out that socioeconomic and geographic factors are also considered in its admission process.
