A drug suspect with P6.9 million worth of shabu was arrested by joint operatives of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Unit RO IV-A RSET-1 during a buy-bust operation in Quezon City on Sunday.
P/Lt. Col. Alexy Sonido, Station Commander of PS 6, identified the suspect as Mohammad Bocua, 27, a resident of Brgy. Holy Spirit, Quezon City.
Police said they received a tip on the illegal drug peddling activities of the suspect which led to the joint buy-bust operation at a parking lot of a mall on Commonwealth Ave., Quezon City at around 6:10 p.m.
A poseur buyer bought P1,000 worth of shabu which led to the arrest of the suspect.
Bocua yielded 1,000 grams of shabu with a market value of P6.9 million, buy-bust money, and a cellular phone used in the drug transactions.
The suspect will be charged with violation of R.A. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
