Mayor Belmonte delivers 3rd SOCA

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte delivered her third State of the City Address (SOCA) on Monday, Oct. 25.

In her speech, Belmonte said that amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the administration's promise to have a government that prioritizes the people is now being fulfilled.

"Ang kuwento ng QC ngayon, ay kwento ng kanyang mga mamamayan. Karamihan sa kanila ay tahimik, disente at naninindigan sa tama at totoo. Kasabay nito, sinikap nating bigyan sila ng isang gobyernong tama at totoo (The story of QC today is the story of its citizens. Most to them are quiet, decent, and stand for what is right and true. We will give them a government that is right and true)," she said.

The mayor enumerated the programs for health, infrastructure, housing, education, livelihood, business, employment, transportation, security, discipline, good governance, and pandemic response that were implemented.

Belmonte’s SOCA was held at the Quezon City Hall.

She expressed her gratitude to the city council and the QCitizens and said that the city government will continue to serve its constituents.
