Fifty-three new party-list groups have been granted registration by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Based on the list released by the poll body on Monday the groups granted registration for the May 2022 polls as of Oct. 20, 2021 are:

The Comelec also released the list of registered or existing partylist groups.
Among the 118 registered partylist groups are ACT-CIS, Bayan Muna, Ako Bicol, Cibac, Gabriela, Buhay, Duterte Youth, OFW Family and Kabataan to mention a few.
Under the Party-List System Law, any organized group of persons may register with the Comelec as a party, organization, or coalition for purposes of the party-list system.
During the filing of certificates of candidacy (COCs) and certificates of nomination and acceptance (CONA) held from Oct. 1 to 8 for next year's polls, a total of 270 party-list organizations filed their list of nominees.
