PDEA seizes P3.4-M worth of shabu in Caloocan buy-bust

Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region III (PDEA-3) seized on Saturday, Oct. 23, some P3.4 million worth of shabu following the arrest of a drug pusher in a but-bust operation in Caloocan City.

Anti-narcotics authorities said that suspected drug peddler, Arthuro Dela Cruz, 38, of Barangay Pantaleon Granados, General Mariano Alvarez (GMA) Cavite was collared in front of a fast food chain along Loreto St. in Barangay 84.

De la Cruz yielded more or less 500 grams of suspected shabu and marked money used by the undercover agent.

The confiscated shabu was brought to the PDEA-3 laboratory for qualitative and quantitative examination.

De la Cruz faces charges for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs), Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’ (Chito A. Chavez)
