Juan GDL, Tokyo Z suffer seventh loss

Juan Gomez de Liano and Earthfriends Tokyo Z remained winless in the B.League second division after a 71-56 loss to the Toyotsu Fighting Eagles Nagoya Saturday, Oct. 23 at the Ota City General Gymnasium.

Gomez de Liano finished with eight points on 3-of-7 shooting with two assists but victory eluded Tokyo Z anew after dropping to a 0-7 record in the 2021-22 season of the Japanese league’s second-tier league known as B2.

The ex-University of the Philippines once again saw limited action as he played close to 12 minutes for Tokyo Z.

He has never appeared in more than 19 minutes despite playing all seven matches for Tokyo Z this season.

American import Joshua Crawford had 14 points and 13 rebounds for Tokyo Z in a losing effort.

Jeremy Jones led the Fighting Eagles, who improved to 5-1, with 23 points, eight rebounds and two blocks.
