Fernando said properly wearing a face mask and face shield can help prevent the spread of COVID-19 as well as social distancing and avoiding mass gatherings.

The Provincial Health Office (PHO) has recorded 136 cases of COVID-19 that brought the total to 82,353. There were 79,950 recoveries.

He said the active cases are 1,012 or 1 percent, and 93 of these are admitted in the hospitals, 204 in Temporary Treatment Facilities, while 715 are under home isolation.

The PHO also recorded 14 new additional deaths that brought the total number of COVID-19-related deaths to 1,391. The three highest COVID-19 cases were from Marilao, San Ildefonso, and Pulilan.

The Bulacan governor also reminded those who don't have any symptoms but were in close contact with someone suspected to have COVID-19 to immediately contact the nearest local public health authority.
