Isuzu launches the N-Series Smoother

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) hopes to make life easier for those in the logistics industry. The leader in commercial vehicles launched a new addition to their lineup called the N-Series Smoother. Its Isuzu’s first locally available light duty truck equipped with Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) technology, an innovative intelligent gearshift system.

This N-Series Smoother’s gears can be changed without the need for a clutch pedal and shifting is done by computer control. Operators that opt for this model will enjoy the practicality and fuel efficiency of a manual with the convenience of an automatic transmission.

You can’t go wrong with a name like Smoother, the operator can expect smoother business and a smoother driving experience.

The Isuzu N-Series Smoother is easy to drive for both male or female newbie drivers. They will find driving this truck has a shorter learning curve, with less fatigue when on long drives or in traffic. It’s also economical as the truck itself decides and selects the gear for the driving condition, saving on fuel costs. This results in better fuel economy, and since there is no clutch pedal, there is no need for clutch maintenance or replacement, saving money in the long run. Safety is also improved since the driver doesn’t need to think about changing gears. His concentration can be on the road and the area around and in front of him.

Powerplant

The N-Series Smoother is powered by a four-cylinder, turbo-intercooler, DOHC common-rail direct injection engine. The 3.0-liter 4JJ1-TCC Blue Power diesel engine puts out maximum power of 124-PS and 354-Nm of maximum torque which is mated to Isuzu’s latest transmission: the MYY6S, a six-speed AMT.

It comes equipped with an AM/FM radio with USB connectivity, two speakers, a charging port, power windows, central locking and a cab tilt warning system.

The Isuzu N-Series Smoother Cab & Chassis is priced at P1,600,000 and comes with a three-year and unlimited mileage warranty. With a gross vehicle weight of 4,490kg, it can be fitted with various body configurations such as a passenger van, aluminum van, refrigerated van, dump truck, fire truck, drop side, aerial platform, refuse collector, crane/cargo and tanker.
