Franki Russell makes it to Miss Universe UAE Top 30


Former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate Franki Russell is trying her hand in the beauty pageant scene.

In fact, she joined the first-ever Miss Universe UAE, where she was introduced as among the Top 30 finalists.

Note that according to the organization, out of all the 15,000 applicants, the Top 300 graced the runway of Bagatelle Dubai.

"On behalf of the Miss Universe UAE organization, we congratulate our Top 300 as it is already magnificent feat," they wrote on Instagram.

"Progressing from 300 stunning women down to strong Top 50 and after 70 years... one of them is bound to become the first ever - MISS UNIVERSE UAE!"

Meanwhile, Franki declared in her recent post how she's so "inspired" by everything the pageant stands for.

"Diversity, celebrating women from all walks of life, empowerment and breaking stereotypes," she related. "Stepping out of my comfort zone never felt so good."

As for her making it to Top 30, Franki said it feels so "surreal."

"I feel so grateful and honored to be apart of something so historical - the first ever Miss Universe here in the UAE," she maintained. "Thank you to the people who brought this to life and for letting me be apart of this!"

"I feel like there’s never been a better time to have a Miss Universe UAE to empower and inspire women from all walks of life," she added. "I am excited to challenge myself and grow alongside such beautiful women! Lets do this!!"
