Body of drowned child found in Marikina River

The body of a drowned child was recovered from the Marikina river on Friday, Oct. 22.

The Marikina City Rescue 161 (MCR161) received a call on Wednesday, Oct. 20, about a child that drowned in the river near the vicinity of Barangay Tumana.

An MCR161 Search and Rescue team and a Bureau of Fire Protection Special Rescue unit were immediately dispatched to search for the child.

MCR161 operatives found the child’s body near the Marikit Floating Stage in Sta. Elena at approximately 11:08 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 22.
