Manila Ocean Park reopens

The Manila Ocean Park has reopened to the public on Thursday, Oct. 21, after a year of temporary closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The oceanarium will be open to the public from Thursday to Sunday at 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., according to the Manila Public Information Office.

Only fully vaccinated individuals aged between 18 to 65 are allowed to enter the tourist site.

Manila City Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna, who led the reopening of the Manila Ocean Park, said it may lead to the generation of jobs and economic recovery of the City of Manila.

"After a year of temporary closure brought about by the pandemic, we are hopeful that business like yours will get back on track," she said.

"You are conveying a clear message that we are getting through the darkest times and that we are almost getting out of the tunnel and beginning to see the light," she added.
