'Elvis Presly' nabbed for rape, acts of lasciviousness in Mandaluyong


A man nicknamed “Elvis Presly” was arrested Wednesday, Oct. 20, by Mandaluyong City police for rape and acts of lasciviousness cases.

According to the police report, Elvis Princely Beloy Carpio a.k.a "Elvis Presly", 27, a resident of Barangay Namayan, was nabbed on the strength of a warrant of arrest for 12 counts of rape, and five counts of acts of lasciviousness and attempted rape.

Operatives from Mandaluyong City Police Warrant Section under PLt. Richard Laroga, Women and Child Protection Desk under PLt. Maureen Mamacotao, and IDMS under PCpt. Maria Cristina Vasquez served the arrest warrant against Carpio.

The judge who issued the arrest order recommended no bail for the rape case, and a bail of P180,000 and P120,00 for acts of lasciviousness and attempted rape, respectively.
