Alleged notorious motorcycle thief nabbed in Quirino


CAMP MARCELO A ADDURU, TUGUEGARAO CITY – The fourth Most Wanted Person of the Regional Highway Patrol Unit (RHPU) 2 was arrested by authorities during an operation in Rizal, Diffun, Quirino on Oct 20.

21-year-old suspect Jaymar Rivera, a construction worker and a resident of Diffun is being held for cases involving several stolen motorcycles.

The suspect is allegedly involved in "cannibalizing" parts of stolen motorcycles which would then be assembled into different motorcycle units.

Authorities say the suspect has been involved in the illegal activity since he was 17 years old.

He was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of arrest for violation of the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016 (RA 10883) issued by Presiding Judge Remalie Cardenas of Regional Trial Court Branch 32, Cabarroguis, Quirino dated August 16, 2021.

A bail bond of three hundred thousand pesos has been recommended for the temporary liberty of Rivera who is currently in the custody of the Diffun Police Station.
