Manila police seize P354,000 worth of marijuana hidden in speakers

Police seized from a man some P354,000 worth of marijuana hidden inside speakers in Tondo, Manila on Tuesday, Oct. 19.

Police identified the suspect as Judem Aleck Macam Padilla, 27, a resident of Tondo.

Padilla was arrested by operatives of Asuncion Police Community Precinct (PCP) led by Police Cpl. Gary Tuquero during an “Oplan Sita” checkpoint.

Police recovered from the suspect five speakers containing seven sealed plastic packs of suspected marijuana.

Padilla will be presented for inquest before the Makati City prosecutor for violation of Republic Act 9165, Article II, Sections 5 and 11 (distribution and possession of dangerous drugs).
