Pasay barangay staff files COC for presidential bid

Victoriano Inte, a barangay staff from Pasay City, filed his certificate of candidacy for president as an independent candidate on Saturday, Oct. 2.

Inte, 67, is the seventh presidential aspirant in the 2022 elections.

Under his administration, he said, any criticism, good or bad, would be welcome.

Inte also hit President Rodrigo Duterte's war on drugs, stressing that "life is important."

"Maraming buhay na natokhang. Tokhang doon, tokhang dito. (We have lost so many lives due to killing). If he's really sincere to stop, gibain yung laboratories (demolish the laboratories). Stop the production of chemicals in our country in order to seed the new generation," he said.

"Give life instead of killing. Buhay is importante (Life is important). The most important in this world is life."

Inte claims the pandemic "is an act of God" and that Mama Mary warned him about it in a dream in 2015.

If elected, he promised life will be "back to normal" and more businesses will reopen, but maintained that Filipinos will still have to be vaccinated, wear mask, and face shield.

Inte previously filed COC for senator in 2016 and 2019 but was declared a nuisance candidate.
