Newly opened 5.14-km bypass road to ease traffic along NLEX in Bulacan
The entire 5.14-kilometer Ciudad De Victoria Interchange that was intended as an alternate to congested roads in Bocaue, Bulacan is now fully open.

The completed Ciudad De Victoria Interchange includes the opening of an overpass bridge and a bypass road.
"The completion of this project is indeed the birth of hope as it is not just a band-aid remedy but a long-term solution to traffic woes that has long beset this area," Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar said as he led the opening of the road on Saturday, Oct. 2.
"Ito po ay iko-connect sa Halili at kung gusto n'yong tumawid, hindi na kailangang lumabas sa NLEX (North Luzon Expressways), puwede na pong dumiretso (This will be connected to the Governor F. Halili Road and if you want to cross, you won't have to take NLEX, you can just drive through this road)," Villar explained.
He added that the project is an alternate road to the Governor F. Halili Road or Bocaue-San Jose Road in Sta. Maria "which has been notorious for traffic gridlock, a dilemma that has troubled commuters and impeded economic productivity in the province."
Travel time between Bocaue and Sta. Maria will be reduced from 45 minutes to 10 minutes.
According to DPWH-Regional Office 3 Regional Director Roseller Tolentino, the project will also alleviate queuing of vehicles along the entry and exit tolls of Bocaue in NLEX.
"This new road is a major infrastructure project that is expected to create a positive socio-economic impact in Bulacan due to the huge improvement in mobility and productivity bolstering further economic activities throughout Bulacan," Tolentino said.
The 1.12-kilometer interchange, which provides a new exit route from the Philippine Arena to NLEX was completed in November 2019.
