Cardinal Advincula calls on faithful to pray the Holy Rosary every day
Archdiocese of Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula has called on the faithful to make it a habit to pray the holy rosary every day as Roman Catholics observe October as Holy Rosary month.

“October is the month of the Holy Rosary. I am inviting the faithful to make it a habit to pray the rosary every day. Let us pray as a family and as a community,” Advincula said over Radio Veritas.
His Eminence cited the many miracles attributed to the praying of the holy rosary and the intercession of the Blessed Mother particularly these times amid the pandemic.
"At this time of a pandemic, let us seek the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary by praying the holy rosary. She will never let us down,” Cardinal Advincula said.
Pope Francis launched the Healing Rosary for the World against COVID-19 in April last year to pray for an end to the pandemic.
Cardinal Advincula cited the many instances in history when justice, healing and freedom prevailed through the praying of the holy rosary which began in 1214 after the Holy Mother introduced the rosary to Saint Dominic.
The faithful may join the praying of the rosary over Radio Veritas every day at 4 a.m. and at 9 p.m.
Pope Leo XIII declared October as the month of the holy rosary in 1884. Catholics will mark the Feast of the Most Holy Rosary on Oct. 7.
