100 senior citizens in Pasay City receive free flu and pneumonia vaccines

A total of 100 senior citizens in Pasay City received free flu and punemonia vaccines in celebration of the Filipino Elderly Week from October 1 to 7.

Mayor Emi Calixto- Rubiano in recognizing the celebration elderly week with a theme of “Mahalaga sina Lolo at Lola ngayong pandemya” ordered the Office of the Senior Citizens Affair (OSCA) to give senior citizens with free flu and punemonia vaccines.

Rubiano said the flu and pnuemonina vaccines can help boost the immune system of the senior citizens.

She said the 100 senior citizens were also given food packs coming from Conrad Manila headed by its Director of Operations Emile Otte and Hilton Manila General Manager Simon McGrath.

The mayo said in taking care of the health and welfare of the senior citizens in the city, they were also vaccinated with Johnson & Johnson (J&J) vaccines on July 23 to 25 in celebration of the Pasay City’s Senior’s Day.

Rubiano said aside from vaccinating the senior citizens in the city, a raffle draw was also organized for the fully vaccinated.

She said looking for the health and welfare of senior citizens is very important to her.
