UNC students back Robredo's 2022 run

Students from the University of Nueva Caceres (UNC) expressed their support for Vice President Leni Robredo's presidential bid for the May 2022 elections.

In a statement on Tuesday, Oct. 19, the University Student Government of UNC said they are taking a stand "for good governance for the betterment of our country."

" candidacy received an outpouring of support from various organizations and institutions as she became the hope amidst these trying times," UNC-USG said.

"This hope is backed with Robredo's years of exemplary clean track record in public service. She is inevitably a true pride of Bicol and the University. She embodies what our country quenches to have as a leader," it added.

The students also urged the UNC administration to show their support to Robredo who is also an alumna of the University.

"Now is the high time for the administration to be loud and proud of its students. Because it is not every day that our country comes across a firm leader with integrity, transparency, and accountability."

Earlier, students from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and Ateneo de Manila University also threw their support for Robredo.
