Active COVID-19 cases in Manila City down to 907


A total of 907 active COVID-19 cases were reported in Manila City on Sunday, Oct. 17.

The Manila Public Information Office (MPIO) released an update on the status of COVID-19 in the city which noted 907 active cases.

Out of the 907 active cases, 271 came from Sampaloc which currently has the highest concentration of active COVID-19 cases in the city.

On Oct. 10, the MPIO released a similar update which listed 1,034 active cases, 312 of which were also based in Sampaloc.

According to the 2020 Philippine Statistics Authority, Manila currently has a population of 1,846,513.

In a vaccination report by the MPIO on Oct. 15, the city recorded 1,282,249 fully vaccinated individuals.

As of Oct. 15, the city has deployed 2,606,828 vaccine doses. (Seth Cabanban)
