P1.65-billion worth of shabu seized in Cavite buy-bust

Government's anti-narcotics operatives seized some P1.65 billion worth of shabu from two suspected big-time drug dealers in a buy-bust in Dasmariñas City on Saturday, Oct. 16.

A police report obtained by the Manila Bulletin identified the arrested suspects as Wilfredo Blanco, 37; and, Megan Pedroro, 38. Both are residents of Montalban, Rizal.

Seized from them were 240 kilos of shabu with a street value of P1.656 billion and a van which was reportedly being used by the suspects to transport shabuin Metro Manila and nearby areas.

The operation is part of the continuing operation against members of drugs syndicates which have been distributing illegal drugs in the country using the shabu being smuggled into the country through high seas.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) confirmed the arrest of the two and the seizure of the illegal drugs.
