Color coding, truck ban remain suspended in Metro Manila under Alert Level 3 — MMDA
The implementation of the number coding scheme and truck ban remain suspended in Metro Manila even as coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic restrictions would be downgraded to Alert Level 3 beginning Saturday, Oct. 16.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced Friday, Oct. 15, that the suspension of the number coding scheme will remain despite the easing of restrictions. The NCR will be placed under Alert Level 3 from Oct. 16 to 31.
"The Number Coding Scheme is suspended until further notice except Makati City," it said.
The MMDA said it would give notice once the suspension is lifted.
Meanwhile, the truck ban is also suspended "to help the gradual opening of the economy," the agency added.
"This is to ensure the unhampered deliveries of cargoes, especially those carrying medical supplies and essential goods during this pandemic," it said.
Light trucks may also pass through EDSA from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. and through Shaw Boulevard from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. as the uniform light trucks ban is also suspended.
