89 minors with comorbidities vaccinated in Pasig City General Hospital

Eighty-nine minors with comorbidities were vaccinated in Pasig City General Hospital (PCGH) on Oct. 15, the first day of pilot implementation of the pediatric immunization program against COVID-19.

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto announced on his Facebook page that PCGH has begun vaccinating 12 to 17-year-olds with medical conditions.

The first batch of children vaccinated at PCGH are patients of Pasig City Children’s Hospital and other Pasig health centers.

PCGH is one of the hospitals tapped for the pilot pediatric vaccination. The other medical facilities are the National Children’s Hospital, Philippine Heart Center, Fe Del Mundo Medical Center, Philippine General Hospital, and Makati Medical Center.

As per guidelines set by the National Vaccination Operations Center’s (NVOC), the pediatric vaccination program for minors will be expanded seven days after the initial rollout and will be fully implemented throughout the National Capital Region after 14 days.
