Tugatog Cemetery in Malabon City to undergo redevelopment

The Malabon City government announced on Wednesday that the Tugatog Cemetery will undergo redevelopment.

According to the local government, the said project aims to make the burial site more secure and clean.

A public crematorium and columbarium will be built inside the cemetery in response to the change in the burial system due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

From the current capacity of 7,600, more than 50,000 burial slots are expected to be available after the redevelopment of the cemetery. (With a report from Carlo Ayco)
