DLSU among world's best universities for education

The De La Salle University (DLSU) emerged as one of the world's best universities for Education, according to the 2022 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject.

The DLSU was included in the 201-250 bracket in Education.

Meanwhile, the University also placed in the 601+ in Business and Economics and 601+ bracket in Social Sciences along with the University of the Philippines in the same bracket.

It is the lone Philippine university that is ranked in the fields of Education and Business and Economics. DLSU also maintained its position as the sole Philippine private university in Social Sciences.

The THE rankings by subject list research-intensive institutions and the criteria used to put emphasis on research resources, global outlook, productivity, and scientific impact.

Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation Dr. Raymond Tan said DLSU's presence in these subject rankings "attest to its commitment to the generation of new knowledge as an integral part of higher education."

This year, 795 higher educational institutions were ranked in Business and Economics, while 597 universities met the criteria to be included in the Education rankings. 870 schools qualified to be ranked in the Social Sciences area.
