Mayor Isko's chief of staff resigns

Cesar Chavez resigned as chief of staff of Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso.

This was confirmed by Chavez in a Facebook post on Wednesday, Oct. 13.

"MBC (Manila Broadcasting Company) management has actually offered me a position as early as March this year, and this was announced in a general staff mtg of DZRH about 6 months ago," Chavez wrote in a Facebook post.

He also said that he told Domagoso about the offer and the latter accepted his decision.

"I told Mayor Isko about the offer, and my intention to accept the same. Salamat Yorme sa pag-unawa, at pagkakataon makapagtrabaho sa Maynila. Napakaraming magagaling at matitino sa city hall. Maraming salamat sa inyo (Thank you Mayor for understanding and for having a chance to work in Manila. There's a lot of intelligent and good people in the city hall. Thank you to all of you)," he said.

Chavez stressed that he "never regretted" being the chief of staff of Domagoso.

He said that he is "happy to be back" to his first love, which is radio broadcasting.

"I committed to MBC management that I intend to stay with the company until my retirement age," Chavez said.

Meanwhile, Chavez tweeted on Sunday, Oct. 13, about his support for Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto.

"Magaling. Matino. Matapat. Maraming katulad mo sana mayor @VicoSotto ang mahalal sa #Desisyon2022. Mabuhay po kayo!," Chavez wrote in a tweet.
