Julia Barretto on Marco Gumabao-Ivana Alawi rumor

Julia Barretto took up the cudgels for the obviously uncomfortable Marco Gumabao during a recent interview.

The actor was being quizzed in a roundabout way about rumors he is making sweet music with Ivana Alawi.

Julia said: "I’m sure si Marco will talk about it when he’s ready to talk about it."

Julia went on to add: "I think everyone is still in shock and he’s still overwhelmed kasi si Marco is the type of guy na kapag private life niya, gusto niya private lang."

Julia and Marco have been friends for the longest time and according to Julia she would know if Marco is in love.

"I think I can tell Marco really likes a girl. I know when Marco is actually going to pursue a girl. I know that because I know how he behaves when he’s in love. I know how he starts acting like he’s in love, but I also know Marco when he’s unsure. I also know Marco when he’s nervous. I also know Marco when he’s afraid."

So is he in love?

Julia simply smiled.

Marco on his part only managed a sheepish grin.

If anything, he was more than ready to share that he is "inspired."
