1,000 Paranaque residents get P4K pay under 'cash for work' project

The Paranaque City government distributed the P4,000 incentive to “cash for work” beneficiaries who were tapped to clean their respective barangays in District 1 and II.

The 1,000 beneficiaries are workers who have been displaced due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The “cash for work” project, which was launched by the city government in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD-NCR), was made possible through the initiative of Mayor Edwin Olivarez, Vice Mayor Rico Golez and Representative Eric Olivarez.

It aims to help the city residents who lost their jobs.

Each “cash for work” beneficiary worked in their respective barangays for a pay of P400 per day in 10 days, which is equivalent to P4,000.

The distribution of the P4,000 cash was held at the Wawa Gym in Barangay San Isidro for District 1 workers, and at the San Antonio Valley 5 Gym in Barangay San Antonio for District II.
