K-pop girl group TWICE made their first-ever appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 chart since debuting in 2015.
Billboard announced that TWICE’s first English single “The Feels” debuted at No. 83 on Hot 100 on the Oct. 16-dated chart.
“It earns the group its first career entry on the chart,” according to Billboard. The achievement came ahead of TWICE’s sixth anniversary since debut on Oct. 20. They are the first K-pop girl group to chart on Hot 100 in 2021.
“Billboard HOT 100 THE FIRST ENTRY. Thank you so much, ONCE. We've got all the FEELS for US,” TWICE posted on Twitter.
Before this, “The Feels” debuted at No. 80 on UK’s Official Singles Chart Top 100 for the period Oct. 8 to 14. It also ranked fifth on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart and No. 10 and 12, respectively, on Billboard Global (excluding the US) and Billboard Global 200.
Previously, “The Feels” topped iTunes Song Charts in 35 countries and regions the day after the song was released on Oct. 1.
TWICE performed “The Feels” on “Good Morning America’ and “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
They started 2021 with a performance on TIME 100 Talks followed by their first US broadcast debut on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” and a performance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
In June, they released their 10th mini album, “Taste of Love,” which debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 chart and music video for the album’s lead track “Alcohol-Free,” which was nominated for an MTV Video Music Award for “Best K-Pop.”
