Ateneo mounts donation drive for 'Maring' victims

The Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) on Tuesday, Oct. 12, made use of its social media account to mount a donation drive for the victims of severe tropical storm "Maring."

"Donations received will be used to provide food for communities that will be affected by the typhoon," AdMU wrote on its Facebook page.

As of Monday, the death toll from STS "Maring" has increased to nine, while two suffered from injuries and at least nine others went missing, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

"Maring" has since affected 478 families or 1,638 individuals in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan (Mimaropa).
