Sarah Wurtzbach a victim of gang assault

The younger sister of former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach took to Instagram recently to reveal that she was a victim of gang assault.

Sarah Wurtzbach didn't divulge details but she admitted to being "depressed for 10+ years" and "anxious 24/7," due to the same.

She is hoping to use social media as platform to raise mental health awareness as she opened up about her own struggles.

Despite what happened, Sarah says she now has a "happier outlook" in life and is hoping to help others do the same.

"All I want to do is spread good, raise awareness and be my authentic self," she said in the caption of her video.

Sarah made headlines last year ranting on social media against Pia and their mother.

They have since patched things up.
