The San Juan City local government has received six ambulance units from the Department of Health (DOH) to further boost the city's medical emergency response and COVID-19 response efforts.

San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, together with DOH Regional Director Gloria Balboa, attended the turnover ceremony on Wednesday wherein six Hyundai Starex Type 1 International Standard ambulances where given to the LGU.
Zamora said that the ambulances will be a big help in San Juan's COVID-19 response and medical emergency reaction.
The mayor added that San Juan now only has 373 active COVID-19 cases as of October 10, which is a very sharp decline of 66.78 percent from a high of 1,123 active cases last September 16.
