Paulo Avelino defends Jake Cuenca over 'reckless imprudence' case
By Neil Ramos
Actor Paulo Avelino has come to the defense of his friend and fellow actor Jake Cuenca who was recently arrested for alleged reckless imprudence.
Reports said Jake hit with his car a police patrol car on Saturday but almost immediately tried to get away.
Supposedly, he stopped only after the police shot his car's tires.
According to Paulo, he would've done the same thing.
He said in a social media post: "I wouldn't stop for anyone shooting my vehicle wearing civilian clothes..."

"If someone was shooting me it's either I shoot back or run for my life," he added.
When a fan queried if Jake was drunk, Paulo replied: "Drunk? No. Nakainom? Maybe. Nakasagasa ba? Nakasakit ng tao? Hindi."
When another fan told him that Jake should've stopped immediately after hitting the patrol car, Paulo retorted: "Wag po tayo magmarunong. Wala pong tama ang sasakyan niya. Kung may nasagi man gulong niya malang dahil kita naman po sa mga picture lampas ng sasakyan. Yung complainant po private vehicle ng pulis na ginamit sa operation..."
Paulo revealed Jake was actually headed to his home when the incident happened.
