Pasay Comelec to continue voter registration in malls

The Commission on Election (Comelec) in Pasay City announced that the registration of voters in the city’s two biggest malls will continue from Oct. 11 to 30.

Atty. Ronald Santiago, Pasay City Comelec officer, said the continuation of the voter registration will be held at Level 2 South Entertainment Mall in Mall of Asia (MOA) and at the Islas Pinas in Double Dragon Plaza.

Santiago said the registration at MOA will be from Oct. 11 to 15 and Oct. 18 to 22 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., while at the Double Dragon Plaza will be from Oct. 25 to 30.

After the filing of certificates of candidacy for the local election ended, the local government decided to hold the voter registration at the Comelec office located beside the Pasay City Hall.

However, for the convenience of the applicants, Santiago said they have decided to continue the voter registration in the city’s two biggest malls.

Santiago said the information was disseminated through the help of Jun Burgos, head of the Pasay City Public Information Office.

The Comelec is encouraging all qualified voters to register and participate in the 2022 national and local elections.

Applicants are also encouraged to download and fill out the form at com.gov.ph, irehistro.gov.ph or through the official Facebook page: OEO Pasay.
