A day after actor Jake Cuenca was involved in a car chase with policemen in Mandaluyong over the weekend, netizens took to social media to air their comments on the incident.

On social media account of former beauty queen Kylie Verzosa, girlfriend of Cuenca, netizens shared their reactions to the case of the Kapamilya hunk.

On Cuenca's social media accounts, netizens shared their opinion on the car chase.

"Because you try to escape pati rider na naghahanap buhay para sa pamilya nadamay pa. I hope you'll be responsible to help the man. Ano na lang ang maituturo mong magandang asal sa magiging anak mo kung daddy ka na in the future?"

"Kapag may pera wala nang kaso noh!"

Five police officers who were involved in the car chase with Cuenca were relieved from their posts, according to a report on "24 Oras" on Monday.

PNP chief General Guillermo Eleazar said Cuenca would be held accountable for fleeing after bumping a police vehicle, GMA News reported.

"We understand the negative sentiments of our kababayan on this issue but let us not forget why this incident happened in the first place. May isang motorista na imbis na humingi ng paumanhin at panagutan ang kaniyang pagkakamali ay gumawa ng eksenang pang-teleserye at pampelikula," said Eleazar.

Charges of disobedience and reckless imprudence were filed against the actor.
