K-pop group aespa sells 257,000 copies of 'Savage' album to top weekly chart

K-pop girl group aespa topped the weekly album chart as their first mini-album reached more than 257,000 copies in sales.

According to Hanteo Chart, “Savage,” aespa’s first mini-album, sold 257,470 copies in six days and earned first place on the weekly physical album chart for the period Oct. 4 to 10.

“Savage” was released on Oct. 5 and it sold 147,195 copies on the first day of release to top the daily album chart on Hanteo. Its one-week sales tally will be from Oct. 5 to 11.

On Gaon Music Chart, “Savage” also topped the weekly retail album chart with 198,017 copies sold from Oct. 3 to 9.

Meanwhile, the music video for “Savage” has garnered 65.79 million views on YouTube as of writing since its release on Oct. 5.
