Three regions in the country remain under “high-risk” case classification for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

This was bared by the Department of Health (DOH) in a virtual briefing on Monday, Oct. 11.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said these regions are the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Regions 2, and 9.

“We are flagging CAR, Regions 2, and 9 with high-risk case classification based on its positive moderate-risk two-week growth rate, and a high-risk average daily attack rate,” Vergeire said.

Moreover, hospital beds and intensive care unit (ICU) utilization in the said three regions were at high-risk levels.
